Maceo 8 Elks knows the importance of our young people continuing their education.  As we continue to be a force for good and increase our impact within our community, we could not think of a better way to help mold our future leaders of tomorrow.  
 
This academic year, we have added to our list of scholarship recipients. Our Educational Department awarded $500 scholarships to two more deserving students.  These students demonstrated academic excellence and exceptional skills in pursuing their area of study.  Please join us in congratulating our latest winners.

The Maceo 8 Elks also participates in the annual IBPOEW Education Department Scholarship program, awarding $10,000 to the winner of its national Oratorical Contest.

There are eight regions who participate in the Oratorical Contest. Each region has a contestant participate at the local/state/regional/national levels. The winning contestant at the local level will move on to the state level. The winning contestant at the State level will receive a $1,500 scholarship and move onto the Regional level. The winning contestant will receive a $1,000 scholarship at the Regional level and move onto the National level. The winning contestant at the National level will receive a $7,500 scholarship for a total of $10,000. The $10,000 will be made payable directly to a college or university of the contestant’s choice.
